Microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP)
This medium-depth facial couples the regenerative power of microneedling (collagen induction therapy) with the reparative properties of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and red LED light therapy. This ensemble is created by dermatologist Dr. Margareth Pierre-Louis and aims to help use your body’s nutrient-dense rich plasma with increased blood circulation to rejuvenation scars and texture. Your blood is drawn and processed to extract PRP. The face is anesthetized with topical BLT anesthesia cream for 20-30 minutes. After processing of the blood and removal of the topical anesthesia, the harvested PRP is applied directly to the surface of the skin for regeneration and repair before the microneedling treatment and/or then injected into affected areas (scarred or injured skin) of the face after the microneedling. Following the microneedling procedure, a red LED light helps improve blood circulation to complete the treatment.
